Adevice develops wireless sensor networks and embedded systems to offer integrated solutions for monitoring and control in different applications sectors like industrial control, home-automation, energy efficiency, remote metering, health care and environment.

Wireless sensor networks based on IEEE 802.15.4 are spatially distributed autonomous devices using sensors and actuators to cooperatively monitor and control environmental conditions. Concerning a control system they behave as a powerful subsystem able to manage thousand of nodes in a wide geographical extension which can be connected to an industrial bus and other access technologies by means of a gateway (CanBus, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, GPRS, GSM) in order to build an integrated control system.

Adevice develops the hardware and software required to integrate a wide variety of low power sensors and actuators in autonomous, low-cost wireless terminals, as well as to build the gateways which interface the wireless sensor network with other communication protocols above mentioned.

Adevice set up as a spin-off of the University of Sevilla, promoted by two researchers with 20 years of experience in electronic design and technology transfer. Adevice was granted with a CAMPUS seed-capital fund from the CAMPUS program by the Andalusian Regional Government.
