Energy

We investigate an integrated sensing solution aimed at improvement of saving and energy efficiency in buildings, both existing and in new constructions. These new systems will offer customers (owners and users of buildings) a set of solutions that will contribute not only to a reduction in electricity consumption bill, but also to improved comfort and a reduction in their cost of operation and maintenance by monitoring and control in the installations.

Streetlight

With outdoor lighting control the aim is to provide the public lighting system with a control system that allows management and monitoring automatically, remotely and centrally. This system is based on the use of wireless technology for access to each point of light with interface IEEE 802.15.4.

Individual control allows switching on, switching off and attenuation independent of each light and the acquisition of real time data about the status of each element of the set of luminaries (alarms, faults, maintenance work, consumption, etc).

The results of this research will result in:

  • Savings in electricity consumption
  • Monitoring and control of the luminous objects outside to control failures using wireless technology based on ZigBee communication protocol.
  • Implementation of intelligent lighting (motion activated) in streets, parks, residential areas etc, increasing the area covered by this type of lighting
  • Integrating sensory nodes on the outside of luminous objects enabling them to accommodate the intensity of light needed at each moment depending on daylight.
