Automated Meter Reading
Adevice provides its solution adeMETER to the automated meter reading (water and gas) based on low consumption (up to 8 years of autonomy) and low cost terminals to cover a whole city.
Un-powered meters have no possibility to use electrical power. . The actual issue for these meters is to dispose of a large number of autonomous devices interconnected in a network.
This system is based on wireless communicated devices connected to the meters by a data bus. There are different versions of meter interfaces: UNE-82326, mechanical, pulses counter, etc. These devices communicate between each other by making sensor networks and with other networks through the use of Wide Area Networks (GPRS, Fiber, Ethernet…).
The possibility of communication of devices allows them to be repeaters and extend the network coverage. The devices are able to can be used indoors and outdoors, in urban environments or open countryside as it can operate on different frequencies, reaching optimal range even in urban spaces
This application consists of a system of remote reading of water meters from any city, using low consumption wireless technology of based on the IEEE802.15.4 standard
